1. Service Scope

TalkNative provides AI-powered language learning tools, including interactive chat with AI tutors, multilingual practice, IELTS preparation, structured roleplays, and progress visualizations. Features may be updated or refined to improve quality and reliability.

2. Fair Use & Daily Limits

You’re entitled to up to 30 minutes of active conversation time within any rolling 24-hour period. “Active” means when you or the AI tutor is speaking or when messages are being exchanged. Because real sessions include brief reading/thinking pauses and small UI/network latencies, a typical 30-minute conversation equates to about 40-45 minutes of total elapsed session time. This model keeps usage fair and predictable for all learners.

  • Limits are enforced automatically by our systems on a rolling 24-hour basis.
  • Measured usage may be adjusted to correct technical anomalies or clear abuse patterns.
  • Attempts to bypass limits (automation, multiple accounts, tampering) may result in restriction or suspension.

Example: If you converse continuously for ~30 minutes, you typically see ~10-15 minutes of natural pauses wrapped around it, totaling ~40-45 minutes elapsed.

3. Free Trial

New users receive 5 minutes of full premium access immediately after sign-up. After the trial, continued access requires an active subscription.

4. Availability

We use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain high availability (target ≥99% monthly SLO), excluding scheduled maintenance and events outside our control (e.g., provider outages, force majeure). This SLO is informational and not a contractual SLA.

Maintenance Windows

Scheduled during off-peak hours where possible; in-app notice provided for planned work.

Incidents & Outages

Critical issues are prioritized; status updates posted in-app when impactful.

5. Support

We provide email support for billing, access, and technical questions.

  • Hours: Business days (local time), responses typically within 24–48 hours.
  • Scope: Account issues, usage limits, payments, and general troubleshooting.

For urgent access issues, include your account email and device/browser details.

6. Subscription & Billing

  • TalkNative is offered on a monthly subscription basis only.
  • Plans auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge.
  • Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of service access.

7. Content & Educational Disclaimer

AI outputs may contain inaccuracies or unexpected phrasing. TalkNative is intended for learning and practice; it does not replace certified instruction or professional advice. Use discretion and verify critical information.

8. Privacy & Data Handling

We place great importance on user privacy. TalkNative does not record, store, or retain any user conversations with the AI tutor, ensuring your learning experience remains private and secure. We may collect minimal usage metrics (e.g., time used, subscription status, device/browser data) solely to enforce daily limits, prevent abuse, and improve performance. Operational logs do not include your conversation content.

9. Appropriate Use & Restrictions

  • No harassment, illegal content, or attempts to bypass limits.
  • No reverse-engineering, scraping, automation, or resale/sharing of accounts.
  • We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts to protect service integrity.

10. Changes to the Service

We may modify features, interfaces, and integrations to improve reliability and user experience. Where reasonably possible, we’ll provide in-app notice for material changes.

11. Definitions

  • Active Conversation Time: minutes when you or the AI is speaking or messages are being exchanged.
  • Total Elapsed Session Time: overall minutes from session start to end, including natural pauses.
  • Rolling 24-Hour Window: the 24 hours immediately preceding the current time.
