Before you start speaking Bulgarian
Do I need to read Cyrillic first?
It helps and takes a weekend. Words on screen come with transliteration, so you can begin speaking first.
I speak Russian. Is Bulgarian easy for me?
The vocabulary is largely familiar and the grammar is simpler in one way (no cases) and harder in another (articles, more tenses). Speaking daily catches the Russian habits that leak in.
Are the corrections explained in my own language?
