Brazil or Portugal
"Você" or "tu", "ônibus" or "autocarro", open vowels or swallowed ones. Pick the Portuguese you will actually use and practise that one; your AI partner keeps to it.
Nasal vowels and the shrinking endings
"Pão", "mãe", "não" need a sound English and Urdu do not have, and European Portuguese drops unstressed vowels until "telefone" is two syllables. Hearing yourself corrected is the only way the ear learns.
The personal infinitive and the subjunctive

Before you start speaking Portuguese
Brazilian or European Portuguese?
Your choice. Say which when you start and your AI partner keeps to that vocabulary, pronunciation and forms of address. Most learners pick Brazilian; people moving to Portugal pick European.
I speak Spanish. How fast can I learn to speak Portuguese?
Reading will feel familiar within days; speaking takes longer because the sounds differ and the false friends are many ("embaraçada" is not "embarrassed"). Daily conversation with corrections is the fastest route, because every Spanish habit that leaks into your Portuguese is caught on screen.
