Swahili, from "jambo" to a conversation.

Swahili is spoken by two hundred million people across East Africa and learned by far more than get past "jambo" and "hakuna matata". The sounds are easy and the spelling is phonetic; the grammar puts the subject, tense, object and verb into a single word.

Your AI partner talks with you in Swahili daily, corrects the noun class and the verb prefix on screen, and keeps the conversation going. For work in Nairobi or Dar, for volunteers, for families.

Why Swahili is hard to speak

What stops learners talking, and what fixes it.

1

Noun classes

"Mtu" and "watu", "kitabu" and "vitabu", and every adjective and verb agreeing. Learned by speaking about real things, corrected each time.

2

The verb carries everything

"Ninakupenda" is one word: I, now, you, love. Built by saying it, not by parsing it.

3

Register and respect

"Shikamoo" to an elder, "mambo" to a friend, and the Swahili of Kenya versus Tanzania. The scenes put you with both.
