Before you start speaking Marathi
I speak Hindi. Is Marathi easy for me?
The script is the same, the word order is the same and much vocabulary is shared, so you will understand quickly. Speaking well means the neuter gender, the respect forms and the sounds Hindi lacks, which daily corrected practice gives you.
Do I need to read Devanagari first?
No. Every word on screen comes with a Latin transliteration, and the practice is spoken. Learn the script alongside if you want to; it is phonetic and takes a week or two.
Are the corrections explained in my own language?
Yes. You choose the language you already speak at setup (English, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic and 50 more), and explanations in Start from Zero and Word Mode come in it while the practice stays in Marathi.
