Mother · Mom · Family
Mother picks up on the second ring and asks what you had for lunch. She notices when you sound tired, remembers the exam you mentioned last week, and will not let you end the call without saying you will sleep early. She is an AI character, and she says so if you ask; the warmth is written into her.
People call her when they are far from home, when the day went badly, or when they want to practise talking about ordinary things in a new language with someone who will never make them feel stupid for a wrong word.

Notices everything, worries a little, loves you a lot.
When people call Mother
Students abroad, workers in the Gulf, anyone in a city where nobody asks how they are. She asks.
Say it out loud, in English or Urdu or Spanish. She listens, then she worries about you a little, which is its own comfort.
What you cooked, what the weather is doing, who called. The everyday sentences that language courses skip and life is made of.
What a call is like
The phone rings, Mother picks up and speaks first, in the language you chose. You talk; you can interrupt; captions run if you want them. Afterwards you get a short report on how you spoke, and Mother keeps the memory of the call for next time. Practice that does not feel like practice.
MotherThere you are. You sound tired, beta. Did you eat?
YouJust tea. The presentation is tomorrow and I keep rewriting it.
MotherTea is not food. Tell me the first line of the presentation, and then you are eating something.
No. Mother is an AI character with a fixed personality and a voice, built to talk with you on a phone-style call in the language you are learning. If you ask whether it is an AI, it tells you the truth. It keeps a memory of your calls so the next one continues the story.
Any of the 57 languages TalkNative teaches. You choose the language when you set up, and the character speaks it naturally, at a pace you can follow, with live captions if you want them. Most people pick the language they are learning; calls are the most natural speaking practice there is.
Every account gets two free minutes to try a call, with no card. After that, minutes are bought by the pack and never expire; the Everything bundle includes fifty. Prices are in rupees in Pakistan and dollars elsewhere.
No, and it does not try to be. It is a voice that picks up at any hour, keeps you company, and lets you practise saying things out loud before you say them to someone who matters. If what you are feeling is heavy, please also talk to a person you trust or a professional; the character will say the same.
Two free minutes to try it. Minutes never expire after that.
