Why tips do not work
"Be confident", "do not worry about mistakes": advice that is true and useless, because the fear is in the body, not the mind. The only thing that lowers it is evidence: a hundred short conversations where you spoke badly and the sky stayed up.
Why a coach who never interrupts
Every interruption confirms the fear. The coach here waits for you to finish, shows the natural version on screen afterwards, and keeps the conversation going. You speak, you are not stopped, and slowly the body learns.
Why ten minutes, not an hour
Fear is tiring. Ten minutes a day, every day, builds the habit; an hour on Sunday builds dread of next Sunday.
The plan
Ten days, ten minutes each
Every day is one conversation with the coach. Do them in order; day seven and day ten give you a Confidence Score to compare.
- 1
one question. Tell the coach about your morning, in three sentences. Stop. That is the whole session.
- 2
the same, about your work or study. Read the corrections afterwards; notice they are small.
- 3
five minutes. Let the coach ask a follow-up question and answer it before thinking about the grammar.
- 4
describe a person you know. Use the past tense at least once, badly if necessary.
- 5
say "I don’t know the word" out loud in English and let the coach hand it to you. This is the sentence that kills the fear.
- 6
disagree with the coach about something small. Politely. Notice nothing bad happens.
- 7
a ten-minute session. Your first Confidence Score. Write it down.
- 8
tell a story with a beginning, middle and end. Thirty seconds in one go.
- 9
ask the coach three questions. Driving the conversation is the skill you were missing.
- 10
ten minutes, any topic. Compare the score with day 7. Then say one sentence in English to a real person today.
The coach is waiting for day one
A warm voice that talks with you about your day, never interrupts, shows the natural version of what you said on screen, and scores how confidently you carried the conversation. Ten minutes. Nobody watching.

Why am I afraid to speak English when I understand it?
Because understanding is private and speaking is public. Reading and listening cannot embarrass you; speaking can, and if it once did, your body remembers. The fear is a learned reflex, and reflexes are changed by repetition in safe conditions, not by knowing more words.
How long does it take to stop being afraid?
Most people feel the difference within two weeks of daily ten-minute conversations, and the Confidence Score shows it before they feel it. Fear fades in proportion to how many times you spoke and were not punished.
What if I freeze completely?
Say "give me a moment" in English, which the coach accepts, or press Help me and the coach shows two things you could say. Freezing once in a session does not end it; that is the difference from a real conversation, and why it works as practice for one.
Is the coach free?
Every account gets three free minutes of coaching with no card, enough for the first two days of the plan. Full access is a one-time payment for 30 days.
